The NFL is seeking talented and ambitious interns to join their 10-week summer internship program, focusing on fitness app development.

Overview

The NFL Summer Internship Program offers an unparalleled opportunity to contribute to the organization's growth while receiving a behind-the-scenes learning experience. As part of this program, you'll work within specific departments, tackle challenging project assignments, engage with weekly speaker presentations, and develop meaningful mentoring relationships. This immersive experience will give you a comprehensive understanding of the business side of professional football.

Program Details

The 10-week internship program runs from June 8th to August 14th, 2026. You'll be required to work five full days (approximately 40 hours) per week and will receive an hourly rate for your work. Please note that there is no remote or hybrid schedule; the NFL is committed to being back in person only, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the organization.

The application deadline is Monday, December 22nd at 11:59 PM PST. No exceptions will be made for those who miss the deadline. Eligibility

To apply, you must be:

  • An undergraduate junior (rising senior) graduating Winter 2026 or Spring 2027
  • Have a minimum GPA of at least 3.0
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Interest in the Sports, Entertainment and/or Media industries is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States and international students must have all visas and employment authorizations before the start of the internship

Department Descriptions

The NFL offers two exciting department opportunities:

Audience Development

In this role, you'll assist the Audience Insights team in performance analysis of NFL-produced content and digital platforms. You'll apply qualitative metadata to key content across all digital platforms, with a priority focus on identifying engaging youth and female audiences. This role also involves developing insights and presentations, cross-platform content strategy development, international expansion opportunities, and more.

Digital Content & Development

As a creative producer/editor, you'll work closely with the content team to develop new NFL content, conduct basic editing and writing based on research, analyze performance data, and assist in long-range strategic planning. You'll also have experience working with Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
