About Us
The Real Salt Lake (RSL), Utah Royals FC, and RSL Academy are dedicated to fostering a love of soccer in Utah. As part of this team, you'll be working closely with creatives, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and web/app designers to bring the excitement of professional sports to life.
Summary
As a Social Media Intern, your primary focus will be on social media, where you'll develop general critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, communication, and writing skills. You'll work closely with the Social Media Coordinator to create content plans for Utah Royals FC and Community social platforms. This internship requires a minimum commitment of working every home game at America First Field and Zions Bank Stadium, as well as in-office hours throughout the week.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator to develop content plans for Utah Royals FC and Community social platforms
- Manage season-long projects to create, plan, and execute content
- Capture cell phone video at RSL/Real Monarchs matches, training sessions, and Community Relations events
- Learn about social media brand and formulate copy for platforms accordingly
- Track, analyze, and monitor social media analytics
- Brainstorm creative ways to create content across social media platforms
- Assist with Real Salt Lake and Real Monarchs on matchdays
- Stay up-to-date with emerging social media trends on TikTok
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong interest in social media and writing skills
- Experience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere)
- Ability to commit 20-30 hours per week
- Knowledge of current and emerging social platforms
- Reliable, with great communication and organizational skills
- Creative, detail-oriented, and efficient
- Ability to pass a background check and become SafeSport Certified
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of soccer is not required, but highly suggested
- Bilingual language ability is preferred
Physical Demands & Working Environment
This role requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 20 pounds or exerting heavy force. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, typing, etc.
