Black Friday Success

This year's Black Friday period was a huge success for us, with our systems handling the increased traffic and new accounts without any major issues. The extra room this gives us means we can focus on moving forward with long-planned projects, including API 4.0, which is shaping up to be a game-changer for Filen.

API 4.0: Building a Strong Foundation

API 4.0 is the framework that will enable many of the features and improvements we've been working towards. This includes Filen Spaces, business plans, family plans, web socket-based communication, and more. While some preparation is already underway, most of the effects will be visible in 2026.

Pro Lifetime Recap

As you may know, our Pro Lifetime plans were available for one final round during Black Friday. We're thrilled to say that all Pro Lifetime slots were taken before the sale ended – a testament to the popularity of these plans. As we move forward, we'll continue to prioritize sustainable growth and development.

Phasing Out Pro Lifetime Plans

As mentioned earlier, we've decided to phase out Pro Lifetime plans permanently. This decision was made to ensure long-term sustainability and focus on more manageable, subscription-based models. Don't worry – all existing Lifetime plans will continue to receive updates and improvements, including the discounted subscription rate for those who purchased during Black Friday.

Community Management and Support

We've been working hard to improve our community management and support structures. To further enhance these efforts, we're excited to announce that Jason has joined our team as a dedicated community manager and support specialist. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Jason will help us streamline processes, introduce new procedures, and build a larger community and support team.

We recently wrapped up our mobile app survey, which generated valuable feedback from users like you. We're working on a separate post to share the results, but rest assured that we'll be taking your input into consideration as we continue to develop and improve our mobile apps.
