The Senior Software Engineer role is a key position within the organization, responsible for addressing major security issues affecting products and helping with identity verification and payment authorization. To achieve this goal, FanDuel employs AI/ML systems that draw knowledge from around 34,000 sites and applications worldwide to provide highly accurate scores on Payment Protection and Account Defense.

The Ideal Candidate

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related software engineering field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience writing distributed, highly scalable, and available backend systems and APIs using Java, Kotlin, or similar programming languages
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Knowledge of release process best practices for APIs and services within production systems
  • Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure and technologies, preferably AWS
