The Challenge
Buying a used car can be a daunting and frustrating experience, plagued by uncertainty and misinformation. Without access to reliable data about the seller or vehicle, potential buyers are left feeling lost and overwhelmed. This is precisely why our client sought to create a second-hand car advertising portal that verifies and documents both vehicles and sellers.
Defining the User Journey
To solve this problem, we took a step back to define the user journey and identify key pain points. By doing so, we could design processes, functions, and interfaces that address these challenges head-on. Our solution involved creating a portal where sellers undergo a central qualification process, and vehicles' histories are confirmed through uploaded documents and certificates.
UX Design and Development
Our next step was to develop advanced solutions that make car purchasing easier, more successful, and enjoyable. We started by conducting thorough business planning, including research on demand and supply. This informed our UX concept, which we developed based on personas, user journeys, and service lists. From there, we created wireframes for the basic pages and designed user processes to describe their operation.
Testing and Iteration
To validate our design decisions, we built a clickable prototype of the wireframes and conducted initial user tests. Based on the results, we refined the wireframes and continued designing other aspects of the portal. Before launching the development stage, we prepared a package based on business priorities.
