About the NFL Internship Program

The summer program spans a minimum of 10 weeks from June 9th to August 15th, 2026. As an intern, you'll be expected to work five full days (approximately 40 hours) per week. Your hard work will be rewarded with an hourly rate for your services.

Eligibility and Application Deadline

To apply, you must be an undergraduate junior graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2026 with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0. Academic transcripts (official or unofficial) will be requested. Broadcasting

As a Broadcasting Summer Intern, you'll assist the NFL Broadcasting department with programming and gameday operations projects, ratings research, and analysis. Your tasks will include:

  • Assisting with game schedule-related research projects
  • Managing updating and delivering the 2024 Broadcast Fact Book
  • Analyzing competitive programming, sponsor integration, and commercial formats
  • Preparing documents for summer meetings with network partners

  • Assisting with preparation of Agreed Upon Procedure audit workpapers
  • Preparing for NFLPA club audits and NFLPA league audits by reviewing workpapers and PwC debriefing memos
  • Expanding financial data housed within the Labor/Club Finance Database Cube
  • Preparing ad hoc presentations to Senior Management, NFL team owners, and/or the Finance Committee

Communications

In this role, you'll be part of the Communications & Public Affairs department, responsible for publicizing all NFL activities domestically and internationally. Your tasks will include:

  • Writing and editing media materials (press releases, pitches, media lists, media plans)
  • Brainstorming on storytelling ideas surrounding executive interview opportunities
  • Assisting with creation of league-wide publications

Community Relations & Social Responsibility

As a Community Relations & Social Responsibility Summer Intern, you'll support the NFL's League cause initiatives, including work connected to the NFL Foundation. Your tasks will include:

  • Overseeing all NFL Community Relations social media accounts and posting weekly community outreach events
  • Driving awareness to key league cause initiatives (NFL PLAY 60, Crucial Catch, Salute to Service, and Inspire Change)

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, having education/experience in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Media, or a similar field can be an advantage. Additionally, experience/major or minor in accounting or finance is preferred for the Club & Labor Finance department.
