Overview

The NFL Summer Internship Program offers an unparalleled chance for students to explore all aspects of professional football through challenging project assignments, weekly speaker presentations, mentoring relationships, and networking opportunities. As part of the program, interns will work within specific departments, gaining hands-on experience in their chosen field.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this incredible opportunity, you must be an undergraduate junior (rising senior) graduating Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0. You'll also need to provide academic transcripts (official or unofficial) and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Department Descriptions

The NFL is seeking talented students to join two dynamic departments:

Audience Development

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to assist the Audience Insights team in performance analysis of NFL-produced content and digital platforms. You'll apply qualitative metadata to key content across all digital platforms, prioritizing focus on identifying engaging content for youth and female audiences. Additionally, you'll develop insights and presentations, work on cross-platform content strategy, and help develop an international content strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Prior internship and/or work experience
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to take ownership of a project and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Digital Content & Development

In this role, you'll be a creative producer/editor working with the content team. You'll develop new NFL content, assist in long-range strategic planning, analyze performance data, and demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of video production experience
  • Experience in sports production and understanding of NFL players, coaches, and storylines
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous leadership role
