Introduction

In today's digital age, mobile apps have become an indispensable part of users' daily lives. For tourism businesses in Vietnam, leveraging mobile technology to improve competitiveness and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic is crucial. However, ensuring a seamless user experience (UX) for tourists remains a significant challenge. This study aims to identify and explain the dimensions that comprise mobile app usability in the tourism sector.

Methodology

To achieve this goal, we employed a qualitative method of in-depth interviews with industry experts and tourists. Our findings revealed seven essential dimensions of mobile tourism app usability: App design; App utility; Interface graphic; Interface input; Interface output; Interface structure; and App dependability.

Results

Our research highlights the significance of these dimensions in creating an exceptional app user experience for tourists. By understanding what matters most to users, tourism managers can optimize their apps' usability, ultimately driving more engagement and customer loyalty.
