About the Role

As a Social Media Intern, you'll have the chance to dive deep into the world of professional sports marketing, learning about the brand, vision, and history of Real Salt Lake (RSL) and Utah Royals FC. Your primary focus will be social media, where you'll collaborate with creatives like photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and web/app designers to develop engaging content.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working directly with the Social Media Coordinator to create a content plan for your assigned Club and Community social platforms
  • Managing season-long projects to create, develop, plan, and execute
  • Capturing cell phone video at RSL/URFC matches, training sessions, Community Relations events, etc.
  • Learning social media brand and formulating copy for platforms accordingly
  • Tracking, analyzing, and monitoring social media analytics
  • Brainstorming creative ways to create content across social media platforms
  • Assisting with Real Salt Lake media needs on matchdays
  • Tracking and executing emerging social media trends on TikTok

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • A strong interest in social media and writing skills
  • Experience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere)
  • The ability to commit 20-30 hours per week
  • Knowledge of current and emerging social platforms
  • Excellent communication, organizational, creative, detail-oriented, and efficient skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, basic knowledge of soccer is highly suggested. Bilingual language ability is also preferred.

Physical Demands & Working Environment

The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 20 pounds or exerting heavy force in a wide disparity of environmental conditions.
