The Game of Life Pro is an innovative mobile app that harnesses the power of AI to create a unique and engaging experience for users. With its intuitive interface and customizable settings, this app allows you to explore the fascinating world of cellular automata, where cells are born, evolve, survive, or die based on their surroundings.

Color Evolution: The Heart of the Game

In this game, colors play a crucial role in determining the fate of cells. When a cell has four neighbors of the same color, it evolves to the next color in the hierarchy (White → Red → Orange → Yellow → Green → Cyan → Blue → Purple → Magenta). This process is controlled by the Color Expansion Rate, which affects both the speed and stability of evolution.

Moving Cells: Spreading Colors Across the Canvas

When the Moving Cells toggle is enabled, stagnant cells with three or more same-color neighbors will spawn moving white spores. These spores travel outward, passing through other movers, and after four or more frames, they stop on a cell of the same color or convert entire groups of different colors.

Neighbors Fight: The Battle for Color Dominance

In this thrilling aspect of the game, stagnant cells with higher-color neighbors will convert adjacent lower-colored neighbors based on the Color Expansion Rate. This feature adds an exciting layer of strategy and competition to the game, as players can use it to break stagnation and create color battles or territory expansion.

Exploring the Canvas: Tools and Features

The Game of Life Pro offers a range of tools and features that allow users to customize their experience:

  • Color Selection: Click any color swatch to select a drawing color, then click/drag on the canvas to draw cells.
  • Eraser: Click to activate/deactivate the eraser tool, which allows you to erase cells with a 25×25 pixel brush.
  • Line Tool, Rectangle Tool, and Oval Tool: Use these tools to draw lines, rectangles, or ovals on the canvas.
  • Select Tool: Click two points on the canvas to select a rectangular area, then click and drag within the selection box to move the cells.
  • Paste Tool: After selecting/copying or loading a saved pattern, click Paste then click anywhere on the canvas to place the pattern.
  • Load Pattern: Open the saved patterns library organized by rule sets, then click any pattern to load it for pasting.

Saving and Sharing Patterns

The Game of Life Pro allows you to save and share your favorite patterns:

  • Save Pattern: Use the Select Tool to select an area, then click the green button in the bottom-right corner of the selection box.
  • Load Pattern: Click the Load Pattern button to view all rule sets and their patterns.
  • Export/Import: Export individual rule sets or all rule sets as JSON files. Import previously exported files to restore or share your pattern libraries.

Tips for Mastering the Game

As you explore the world of cellular automata, remember these tips:

  • Avoid a birth minimum of 0, as it can cause unpleasant blinking.
  • Open the birth range to create mind-blowing reactions.
  • Experiment with different combinations of rules and toggles, then save patterns for each configuration.

By mastering the Game of Life Pro, you'll unlock the power of AI in mobile apps and discover a fascinating world of colors, patterns, and interactions.
