Patch #3 - 1.200.300 marks a significant milestone for Rematch, introducing long-awaited features and tweaks to improve gameplay experience. In this update, we're excited to confirm that the highly-anticipated Crossplay feature will be activated by default, allowing players from all platforms to matchmake and join friends seamlessly. This game-changing innovation is set to revolutionize mobile marketing in the world of Rematch.
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving gameplay, we've made several key adjustments to volley mechanics, including a reduction in the power boost for aerial extra effort volley shots. This tweak aims to better challenge players on their positioning and provide a more realistic experience.
In addition to these exciting changes, we're introducing new control settings for Mouse and Keyboard users, allowing them to adjust tap aim sensitivity and revert to the WASD tap aiming control scheme that was available in early Betas of Rematch.
Crossplay: The Key to Seamless Mobile Marketing
The activation of Crossplay marks a major step forward in our mobile marketing strategy. By defaulting to this feature, we're creating a more inclusive and connected community across all platforms, allowing players to join friends and matchmake with ease. For those who prefer not to enable Crossplay, an option will be available in the Options Menu under "Online options."
Gameplay Tweaks and Improvements
We've also made significant improvements to our gameplay mechanics, including tweaks to Extra Effort volley shots and adjustments to the power boost for aerial extra effort volley shots. These changes aim to better challenge players on their positioning and provide a more realistic experience.
New Camera Settings for Controllers Only
For controller users, we're introducing a new camera setting that automatically locks the camera towards the aimed point at the beginning of the shoot. This feature allows for a more immersive gaming experience and provides greater control over gameplay.
Core Gameplay Improvements
In addition to these exciting changes, we've made several key improvements to our core gameplay mechanics, including:
- Fixed ball visual rollback happening during a ball control after a stumble animation
- Fixed ball going in opposite direction of extra effort when performing extra effort in ball control and changing direction quickly
- Fixed invulnerability staying on GK after dive deflect
These updates aim to provide a more stable and responsive gaming experience for all players.
Mouse and Keyboard Settings
For Mouse and Keyboard users, we're introducing new tap direction options, allowing you to switch between three different settings:
- Joystick Emulation: the default system that locks the camera and requires the player to move the mouse in a joystick-like manner
- Directional aiming: aim with the crosshair if there are no movement inputs pressed, or if the forward input is pressed. Otherwise, aim with the movement inputs (what is colloquially known as “WASD aiming”, which was used in the first pre-launch Beta)
- Crosshair-only: aim with the crosshair only
These options provide greater flexibility and control over gameplay.
Matches / Core Gameplay Improvements
We've also made several key improvements to our matches and core gameplay mechanics, including:
- Improved tackling responsiveness and rollback handling to make tackles feel more reliable
- Reduced camera shake intensity when stealing the ball
- Fixed issues with goalkeepers committing to a ball catch animation when diving onto other players
These updates aim to provide a more realistic and responsive gaming experience for all players.
Menus & Interface
Finally, we've made several key improvements to our menus and interface, including:
- Added new accessibility options, including colorblind support and a Magnus sensitivity setting
- Improved stability across reconnects and map changes
These updates aim to provide a more user-friendly and accessible gaming experience for all players.
